AMADOUR

Wednesday, March 5, 2025
5:00 PM
Wells Fargo Auditorium (MIKC 124)

Amadour is a queer Latinx artist, writer, and musician known for their dynamic approach to geometric abstraction and contemporary art.

Born in Sparks, Nevada, and based between Los Angeles and New York, their multidisciplinary practice spans painting, sculpture, and performance, engaging deeply with themes of memory, place, and cultural resonance. Through layered compositions, they explore the intersections of light, structure, and atmosphere, bridging abstraction and narrative to create immersive visual experiences.

This lecture offers an in-depth look at Amadour’s evolving practice, artistic influences, and the role of materiality and storytelling in their work.
